Editorial Policy

This policy describes how we build and maintain the tools and guides on DigitalWebs.

Building tools

• A tool is published only when it works. Features that depend on an external service are labelled until that service is connected.
• Calculators state their formulas, assumptions and, for tax tools, the rule set and the date it applies from.
• We test tools with typical, edge-case and invalid inputs before release.

Writing guides

• Guides are written to explain how a task works, not to fill pages with keywords.
• We cite official documentation for standards such as WCAG, HTML and HTTP where relevant.
• We do not publish pages without useful content, and incomplete pages are kept out of search results.

Corrections

If you find an error in a tool or guide, please tell us through the contact form. We review reports and correct confirmed errors as quickly as we can, updating the page date when a change is material.

Independence

Advertising and partnerships do not affect tool results or guide content. See the Advertising Disclosure.
