Columns are worked out from text positions. Check all figures against the original PDF before relying on them.

How to use the PDF to Excel

  1. Drop a PDF that has real text in it.
  2. Choose one sheet per page, or one sheet for everything, and check the preview.
  3. Download the XLSX or CSV, and compare the numbers with the original.

The tool lines up text into rows and finds columns from the white space between them. It works best on simple, evenly spaced tables such as statements and price lists. Merged cells, wrapped text and tables without clear gaps can land in the wrong column, and non-table text is included too. Always check figures against the original before relying on them.

Scanned PDFs have no text to read. Numbers with leading zeros stay as text so that IDs are not changed. The file is processed in your browser and is not uploaded to our server.

Frequently asked questions

Is the result accurate?
For simple tables it usually is, but this is a best guess from positions. Check the figures.
Does it work on scans?
No. It needs text inside the PDF.
