mm

Your browser’s print dialog opens: choose Save as PDF as the destination. The layout is simplified and will not match Word exactly.

How to use the Word to PDF

  1. Drop a .docx file.
  2. Check the preview, which is what will print.
  3. Click Save as PDF and choose Save as PDF in the print dialog.

How this works

Your browser renders the document’s content and creates the PDF through its print dialog, so text stays selectable and any language your device can display will work. The file is processed in your browser and is not uploaded to our server.

The layout is simplified. Headings, paragraphs, lists, tables, links and images are kept, but fonts, colours, columns, headers, footers, page breaks and exact positions from Word are not. For a pixel-faithful copy, use Save as PDF in Word itself or in LibreOffice.

If an administrator has installed LibreOffice on the server, a higher-fidelity option also appears; that one uploads the file and deletes it automatically.
