Your data
Check everything before you send it. No template can guarantee that a particular employer’s applicant tracking system will read a resume perfectly.
How to use the Resume Builder
- Choose any of the 20 templates. You can change it at any time without losing your details.
- Fill in each step: personal details, summary, experience, education, skills and more. The preview updates as you type.
- Arrange your sections, choose a font, colour and page size, then download your resume.
Your data stays on your device
Your resume is built in your browser and is not uploaded to our server. A draft is kept in this browser’s local storage so you can come back to it; use Clear saved data to remove it, especially on a shared computer. You can also save a backup file and load it later on another device.
Free, with nothing locked
All 20 templates, every section and all downloads are free, with no account and no watermark.
Which download should I use?
Download PDF creates a PDF file directly, with selectable text and the same layout as the preview. It uses standard PDF fonts, so it covers English and most Western European text. If your resume uses other scripts, such as Hindi, the tool tells you and Print / Save as PDF handles it through your browser, using your device’s fonts. Word gives you a plain, editable document without the template’s design, and HTML gives you a web page.
About applicant tracking systems (ATS)
Templates marked ATS-friendly use one column, standard headings and plain text, which such software generally reads more easily. Every system is different, so no template can guarantee that a particular employer’s software will read your resume perfectly. For the safest result, use the ATS-Friendly Single Column template, and check the job listing for the file type it asks for.
Writing tips
- Start achievements with a verb, and include numbers where you honestly can.
- Keep it to one or two pages. The preview shows the page count.
- Photos and personal details such as date of birth are expected in some countries and discouraged in others, so follow local practice.
- Everything you write is your own responsibility: check it carefully before sending.
