How to use the Meta Tag Generator
- Fill in the page title, description and URL.
- Choose robots settings and add Open Graph and Twitter details if you want.
- Copy the generated tags into your page’s <head>.
The generator produces standards-compliant tags with HTML-escaped values and shows a search result preview. Character counters help you stay within the space search engines usually display (roughly 50–60 characters for titles and 120–160 for descriptions). Search engines may rewrite titles and descriptions, and meta keywords are not used by Google, so the tool does not generate them.
Frequently asked questions
Do meta tags improve rankings?
The title is an important relevance signal; the description mainly affects how the result looks and its click-through rate.
Should I add meta keywords?
No. Major search engines ignore them.
