How to use the Time Duration Calculator
- Enter a start and an end time (an end before the start is treated as the next day).
- Optionally subtract a break.
- Read the duration in hours and minutes and as decimal hours for timesheets.
Duration = end − start − break. Decimal hours are useful for timesheets and billing: 7 hours 45 minutes is 7.75 hours. The list mode adds up several durations, such as daily hours for a week.

How do I enter an overnight shift?
Enter an end time earlier than the start time, for example 22:00 to 06:00, and it is treated as finishing the next day.
