How to use the Image Resolution Checker

  1. Drop one or more images.
  2. Read the dimensions, megapixels and aspect ratio.
  3. Check the print sizes at 150 and 300 DPI.

Printing quality depends on pixels per inch: 300 DPI is the usual target for photos and brochures, 150 DPI is acceptable for posters viewed from further away. Print size = pixels ÷ DPI. A file’s stored DPI value does not change its actual pixels. Your images are processed in your browser and are not uploaded to our server.

Frequently asked questions

Is my image good enough to print?
Compare the size at 300 DPI with your print size. If it is smaller, expect some softness up close.
