How to use the Scientific Calculator

    1. Type an expression or use the buttons, for example sin(30) + 2^3.
    2. Choose degrees or radians for trigonometric functions.
    3. Press = or Enter. Previous results are kept in the history.

Expressions are evaluated by a safe parser written for this tool. Nothing is executed as code. Supported: + − × ÷, ^ (power), %, parentheses, sin, cos, tan and their inverses, sinh/cosh/tanh, ln, log (base 10), log2, √ (sqrt), cube root, abs, factorial (!), π, e and Ans. Operator precedence follows standard mathematical rules, and powers are right-associative (2^3^2 = 2^9).

    Frequently asked questions

    Why does sin(30) give 0.5?
The calculator is in degree mode by default. Switch to radians for sin(π/6) style input.
    How precise are the results?
Calculations use double-precision floating point (about 15 significant digits), the same as most calculators and spreadsheets.
