How to use the Study Time Calculator

  1. Enter your exam date and the hours you can study per day.
  2. List your subjects with their relative difficulty or weight.
  3. Read the total available hours and a suggested split, including revision days.

Available hours = study days before the exam × hours per day, minus rest days. Hours are allocated to subjects in proportion to the weight you give each one, after reserving the last days for revision. Spacing study over many days and testing yourself are more effective than cramming, so use the plan as a starting point and adjust it.

Frequently asked questions

How many hours should I study per day?
It depends on you and the exam. Shorter focused sessions with breaks (for example 50 minutes of study, 10 minutes of rest) are often more productive than long sessions.
