How to use the Grade Calculator
- Add each assessment with its score and weight.
- Read your current weighted grade and letter grade.
- Enter a target grade to see the score you need on the remaining work.
Weighted grade = Σ(score × weight) ÷ Σ(weights of graded items). The score needed on remaining work = (target × total weight − current points) ÷ remaining weight. The letter-grade scale is editable because schools use different cut-offs.
Frequently asked questions
Do the weights have to add up to 100?
No. The calculator normalises them, but using percentages that sum to 100 makes the result easiest to read.
