How to use the XML Sitemap Generator
- Paste your URLs, one per line.
- Optionally add a last-modified date.
- Download sitemap.xml, upload it to your site and submit it in Search Console.
A sitemap lists the canonical URLs you want crawled. Include only final URLs that return 200 and are indexable. Google ignores the priority and changefreq fields, so they are left out by default. A sitemap can hold up to 50,000 URLs or 50 MB; the generator warns you and removes duplicates. Dynamic sites should generate their sitemap automatically.
